Logo description by indycar Editions by indycar

Background: United Telefilms Limited (UTL) was the Canadian unit of Associated Artists Productions.

(1955?-1959?)

Nickname: "The Canadian Atom"

Logo: On a black background, a white electron is orbiting around. The electron then becomes a "U." Another electron orbits and forms a "T." A third one orbits and forms an "L." The letters move in front of the spinning atom. The phrase "Distributed in Canada by United Telefilm Limited" appears under the letters. The atom zooms out and behind the phrase. The logo is the same (besides the name) as the 1955 Associated Artists Productions logo.

FX/SFX: The electrons orbiting, the zooming and moving of the atom and the formation of the letters.

Music/Sounds: A rhythmic drum piece is heard with a cymbal crash occurring each time a letter appears. This is the same as the 1955 Associated Artists Productions logo.

Availability: Extinct. Was presumably seen on Canadian prints of material from the Associated Artists Productions library from the time frame.

Editor's Note: Same as the 1955 Associated Artists Productions logo.
