1st Logo

(1990-1993)

Logo: Just an in-credit notice with "WORLDWIDE PANTS, INCORPORATED", alongside "NBC PRODUCTIONS" and "CARSON PRODUCTIONS" (which co-produced until 1992) with other copyright and trademark disclaimers below.

FX/SFX: None, unless you count the scrolling of the credits.

Music/Sounds: The closing theme of the program.

Availability: Ultra rare. Appeared on 1990-1993 episodes of Late Night with David Letterman. Appeared on one episode of a Letterman tape from Goodtimes Home Video.

2nd Logo

Logo: On a space background, we see:

Variants:

A more elaborate version of this logo exists preceding 1990s A&E reruns of Late Night with David Letterman, the predecessor of Late Night with Conan O' Brien that aired from 1982 to 1993 on NBC. It starts with the starry space background (with comets) and a crumpled pair of pants flying towards the center and disappearing. Then the earth and pants flies towards the center and resting at the familiar location, then the rest of the company name flies in and the "INCORPORATED" block slams in from the left and rests at its familiar spot.

The Building used a truncated version of the extended variant, starting when the company name flies in.

On the trailer for Strangers With Candy, the logo looks more like a chalk drawing on a green surface.

FX/SFX: The planet revolving. Awesome CGI from Action Video.

Music/Sounds: Just the end theme of the show, however on Late Show with David Letterman, it's usually a random line from the episode.

Music/Sounds Variants:

On DVD and international prints of the S9 Everybody Loves Raymond episode "Favors", the logo has the HBO Independent Productions sound on it due to a reverse plaster error.

The extended version has the announcer saying "Worldwide Pants proudly presents Late Night with David Letterman reruns" and when the logo is formed, "Worldwide Pants: the most trusted name in pants and entertainment". A quiet, yet majestic orchestral theme is heard throughout.

On The Building, we just hear the announcer say "Worldwide Pants".

On early episodes of Everybody Loves Raymond, the Where's Lunch? logo's music finishes over this logo, and is then silent. On later episodes of the said show, a short jazzy piano sting is heard, which is part of the show's music.

Availability: Uncommon. This was seen on Late Show with David Letterman, The Late Late Show with Tom Snyder/Craig Kilborn/Craig Ferguson, Everybody Loves Raymond, and Ed. When Craig Ferguson's show went HD on August 31, 2009, this logo was retired for good, as the most recent syndie reruns of Raymond have plastered over this logo with the next one. Despite that, this can still be seen on DVDs of Everybody Loves Raymond and international prints of the aforementioned shows from this time period. The extended version is extinct and was only seen on A&E Letterman reruns. Surprisingly, this is currently seen on newest episodes of Voroniny, which is a Russian adaptation of Everybody Loves Raymond.

3rd Logo

(2007-2014)

Nicknames: "CGI Pants", "HD Pants", "The Pants II", "Pants in Space II"

Logo: Same as before, except the starfield is zooming with comets flying by and the planet is still. Also, the globe looks different (and cheaper) than before.

FX/SFX: The starfield and comets.

Cheesy Factor: Everything appears to be a downgrade from before; the space background is choppily animated and the Worldwide Pants logo looks tacked onto it.

Music/Sounds: Same as the last logo. Some examples include "Oh Santa!" and "Kiss me".

Availability: It was seen on later episodes of Late Show with David Letterman and The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson, and post-2007 syndicated prints of Everybody Loves Raymond.
