In 1992, Caravan Pictures was created by Joe Roth and Roger Birnbaum as part of the Walt Disney Motion Pictures Group of The Walt Disney Company for producing films for film units Hollywood Pictures, Walt Disney Pictures and Touchstone Pictures.
