Background: Pixar Animation Studios (pronounced "pics-ar") was formed in 1986 by Edwin Catmull, Steve Jobs, and John Lasseter. It originally produced CGI animated shorts, most notably The Adventures of André and Wally B., Luxo Jr., and Tin Toy. They later began working on feature films starting with 1995's Toy Story, a joint production with Walt Disney Feature Animation that is the first ever full-length film to be computer-animated.
