Carolco Home Video was the home media unit of Carolco Pictures. Carolco had previously had their films distributed to home media by Thorn EMI Video (later Thorn EMI/HBO Video). After this company was formed, the releases were handled by International Video Entertainment (later LIVE Entertainment). After this company went defunct in 1993, LIVE took over distribution in-house. After the original Carolco went defunct in 1995, StudioCanal purchased the rights to the library and continued to license the films to LIVE's successor Artisan Entertainment. Lionsgate Home Entertainment now holds the license after purchasing Artisan. | |||
