# Regretatably, following further consideration, including discussions with other staff members, I have come to the conclusion that it would not be beneficial for AVID to be promoting sonicfan at this time. He still has some room to improve in regards to maturity, though with some mentorship, I think that could change in the near future. As of now though, I {{Oppose}} this request. He's shown dedication to the site, and I think with a bit more time and maturity, he would be a great addition to the team. I would be open to giving him a trial run to see how he performs in the role, with a permanent promotion being a possibility if he shows that he has what it takes.
